The Temptation of Jesus (Luke 4:1-13)
Jesus, as a "perfectly suited savior of all mankind" was tempted in all ways as we are, and was found without sin (Heb 4:15). As Jesus is tempted by Satan in the wilderness, we see His perfect submission to God not through His deity, but through the Word of God and by the power of the Spirit of God, the same provisions available to us today.

Father's Day '10 (Psalm 112)

Luke is establishing Jesus' credentials to be the Promised Deliverer of the nations through God's divine endorsement of His ministry as the Son of God and through giving his genealogy traced back to Adam, presenting Jesus as the Son of Man. Pastor Mike Brown shows how we need both the divinity and humanity of Christ.

The Message of Repentance (Luke 3:1-20)
This week, we look at the message of John the Baptist in Luke chapter 3. He calls the nation of Israel to repent in order to prepare the way of the Lord, and we see the varying responses of the people to this message: some receive the message with humility, others reject it due to self-righteousness.
